Elektrikerus A rhythm game prototype. I made this in 2014 for my class Game Production at the HAW Hamburg M.A. program Games. The task was to design a game that is easily playable, i.e. with a simple control scheme, and is made with 5 by 5 in mind. You can read more about it here.
Elphi An interactive installation prototype for the video wall at the entrance of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. This was never realized, but was ment to be projected in front of visitors entering the scenic platform through the turnstiles. The turnstiles would act as a controller: everytime a visitor enters and activates a trigger a coin would span.
Mediennetz
Videoplayer
A simple browser based video player which can be configured to list video files from a folder and play them back. With volume controls. This is ment to be used in exhibition scenarios, where visitors can easily select video files to view and staff personal can easily configure which videos are in the playlist.
Rock & Wrestling
meets PLAY19
A digital on-stage game for the Rock & Wrestling Show at the PLAY19 Festival at Markthalle Hamburg. This was part live visuals for the entrance of the wrestlers, part interactive game with the audience. Two audience members were invited on stage where they could control two wrestlers in the ring by stepping onto a dance mat controller. The visuals would instruct them what to do next.
Klima-ACT!
Companion App
A companion app for game masters of an early prototype of the Klima-ACT! game mechanics testing phase. This was ment to be used along an early version of Klima-ACT! made with Table Top Simulator. The app would implement cool-down timers and the like to help the game master determine when certain actions were possible.
libOS 95 The digital part of an escape game for the Bücherhallen Hamburg. The game teaches children the importance of secure WiFi passwords. The story revolves around a father who sets up puzzles for his kids where they were asked to find out the new WiFi password. The app implements e.g. simple maze puzzles and offers digital pens and markers to work with. The theme of the app leans heavily on an Win95 graphical style.
Audio Blockout A simple platformer level in blockout style for educational purposes used for Sound Design classes at HBK Essen. The students were tasked with choosing a theme for the level (e.g. sci-fi), source matching sound files and implement them into the game. A group discussion would then find out, if the sound effects were clear enough to show which topic was chosen.
